Good chance of Aurora tonight!

Look north after dark, say astronomers

There could be a chance of seeing the Northern Lights from the Isle of Man tonight.

 

Intense activity on the sun means the KP Index will be at its highest level between 6pm and 9pm tonight, but levels should remain high enough to see the Aurora Borealis until around 6am on Tuesday.

 

The Met Office forecast is for mostly clear skies overnight, meaning people on higher ground should keep their eyes on the Northern horizon.
