Two service users affected in tape theft
It's been confirmed sensitive data kept by government has been leaked, in an apparent theft.
A recording device, containing taped meetings on children and families, was taken without permission from Department of Health and Social Care premises a number of days ago.
Police, the Information Commissioner and those whose data was compromised have all been informed.
In a statement, the DHSC says recording such meetings is 'not routine' and only done under authorisation.
It goes on to say data protection matters are taken 'very seriously'.
