Chris Robertshaw appeared on Manx Radio's Agenda programme
A former Minister says government must learn lessons from previous Keys members and work to balance the Island's books.
Chris Robertshaw, speaking on Manx Radio's Agenda programme, says at the time he started work in the late 1960s, MHKs brought with them into politics the bruises and lessons of their life in business.
He says this is a quality they shared with the civil service of that time.
Mr Robertshaw believes this benefited the Island, which was desperately short of money at that time, very well:
