Former Manx Airlines boss shares thoughts on staffing issues
Government should consider supporting trainee air traffic controllers through UK based courses in a similar way it does for university students.
That's the view of former Manx Airlines boss Terry Liddiard.
He’s made the comments in response to ongoing problems with recruiting staff at the Isle of Man Airport.
Mr Liddiard told Manx Radio attracting qualified air traffic controllers will continue to be difficult as is the case with doctors and nurses.
Therefore, he says, government must look at new ways of securing sufficient numbers for the future:
