Chief Minister confirms investigation has been launched
Government says it will meet with the Steam Packet this week to discuss whether Covid-19 regulations have been broken.
Last week it was confirmed an investigation had been launched after concerns that Manx based crew weren’t following self-isolation rules.
Entry certificates issued to staff permit modified self-isolation – allowing the worker to travel between work and their home but not to go into the wider community.
However the Chief Minister said there had been a ‘difference of opinion’ over the expectations of what was required.
It led Paul Moulton, from Isle of Man Television, to quiz the Health Minister on what happens now:
Manx Radio has repeatedly contacted both the Manx Government and the Steam Packet Company for clarification – both have refused to comment.
