Gov't agrees to 'explore the future' of mobile library

Ministers urged to publish delayed report

Government says it will 'explore the future' of the mobile library.

It's after Douglas East MHK Clare Barber urged ministers to publish a delayed report into libraries so an 'open debate' can be held on their future.

In 2017, Tynwald agreed to part fund the family library services for three years - this support ceased in 2020.

In a short statement, government says it accepts there's 'community value' in the service.

No mention has yet been made about when the report will be published.
