A minister is insisting government has embraced the significant role digital media plays in communication.
Policy and Reform head Chris Thomas revealed departments regularly used what he called the five 'leading platforms' to connect with people and businesses around the world - Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram and YouTube.
He also told Tynwald the audiences reached by broadcast and print media were powerful tools in reaching a diverse group, both on and off-Island.
Mr Thomas said understanding and using the 'broad mix' of traditional and non-traditional media would continue to be a fundamental part of government communications.
