Manx enterprises tap into Tynwald Day

St John's offers showcase for good causes

During today's celebration of national identity at St John's, local businesses and third sector organisations are out in force to spread their messages and promote their goods.

In the Arboretum, the One World Centre has built its Global Village, a collection of 30 stalls featuring performers, cuisine and exhibitions from across the globe.

Inside Yn Bunscoill Ghaelgagh Yarney Grainne will be running a children's workshop teaching crochet from 10am until 4pm, and there's a Viking village set up in Cooil y Ree.

Peel Heritage, Mannin Quilters, and the Rock Project are among local societies based in the Manx Tent on the Fairfield.

Food and refreshments are available in the Methodist Hall, Tynwald Inn, and Greens Cafe - across the entire site you can also find traders selling local produce, arts and crafts.
