18-year-old admits assault GBH charge
A teenager from St Johns has admitted causing grievous bodily harm after another man suffered a fractured skull.
Jake Thomas Cowin, of Ballacraine, punched the individual on Regent Street, in Douglas, on 26 August.
The man fell to the ground banging his head in the process and suffering multiple fractures as a result.
Cowin, who is 18, pleaded guilty to the offence during an appearance at Douglas Courthouse; he will be sentenced at the Court of General Gaol Delivery.
A social enquiry report has been requested before his first appearance before that court tomorrow (10 November); bail continues.
Update: At Douglas Courthouse on 10 November Cowin was told he will be sentenced on 12 January.
