G'vt strategy to navigate pandemic to be published

Total number of positive cases stands at 315

A strategy document, outlining the Council of Ministers' plan to navigate the Covid-19 pandemic, is due to be published tomorrow (Sat 2).

Chief Minister Howard Quayle confirmed the news at yesterday's media briefing.

Two more confirmed cases of Covid-19 were announced, taking the Island's running total to 315.

Government says 260 of those are 'presumed recovered', and 34 are active cases.

There are 21 patients in hospital.

Meanwhile, for the first time in several weeks, ministers will be scrutinised by a Tynwald committee this morning.

The Public Accounts Committee will be quizzing Mr Quayle, as well as the chief secretary and other senior civil servants, about government's response to the pandemic, from 11am.
