Harbours strategy and health funding under Tynwald spotlight

The March Tynwald sitting gets underway at 10,30am today (Tuesday).

A major new harbours strategy, changes to TV Licence funding, and a bid to protect the founding principles of the NHS are among the items to be discussed in the court.

There are 17 questions awaiting ministers on topics from charity rules to electricity key Meters, home schooling and sewage treatment works.

Arbory, Castletown and Malew MHK Jason Moorhouse has also tabled an emergency question concerning the sale of his constituency's old police station.

After that, we can expect an update on personal capacity assessments from the Treasury Minister.

Members will be asked to approve a £3.6 million renovation project at St Mary's primary school in Douglas.

Tynwald members will also look again at overspending at Noble's Hospital.

A report from the Public Accounts Committee will be debated and a number of recommendations looked at.
