Residents owed no concessions
Residents won't be offered a get-out clause from First Time Buyer properties in Harcroft Meadows, following a motion in Tynwald this afternoon (Tue).
Up to 80 homeowners feared losing out on the scheme, which saw them enter into a joint ownership agreement with government in 2001.
Many said the terms weren't set out to them clearly.
A Select Committee formed last year found that no deception had taken place.
Its report, which was received by the court today, recommended that buyers weren't owed a concession - but that government Departments should review their practices and be sure to obtain proper legal advice.
