Daphne Caine quizzed by Onchan MHK Julie Edge in the House of Keys
The education minister says claims that a school on the Island didn't permit carols to be sung over Christmas are the product of 'fearmongering' and 'hearsay'.
In the House of Keys this morning (Tuesday 13 January), Onchan MHK Julie Edge said she'd received a complaint from people at an unnamed school where she'd heard that carols were not permitted.
Minister Daphne Caine says her department has contacted all schools in recent days, and not one of those which responded said it had imposed any restrictions.
