Have you seen this tag?

Have you seen an unusual-looking object washed up on the shores around Port St Mary?

If so, you could help the valuable work of the Manx Basking Shark Watch team and earn yourself £50 into the bargain!

The orange coloured cylinder is actually a satellite tag which had been attached to a basking shark called Neve earlier this year.

It's detached itself somewhat earlier than planned and latest signals show it's on the beach somewhere between Callow Point and Perwick Bay.

If the tag is found, more information can be gleaned from it and it can also be re-furbished for use next year, saving the charity around $1400 dollars on the cost of a new tag!

Whilst its most likely the tag will be along the beachfront it COULD be further inland, if a dog or child has moved it.

Details of what to do if you find the tag are printed on its casing or you can get details from the manxbaskingsharkwatch.com
