Have your say on Douglas Prom plans

Application submitted by DoI

There’s just under two weeks left to get your comments to planners about proposals to transform Douglas Promenade.

The Department of Infrastructure’s planning application to mix trams, traffic and people is now available on the government website - with more than 80 supporting documents.

The plans lay out the government’s vision for the Prom, stretching from the Sea Terminal right the way along to Derby Castle.

And the documents show how the department plans to create a new cultural q1uarter in the capital.

Because the application comes from a department, the Council of Ministers will eventually decide its fate.

The application also includes more than 220 comments from members of the public after the original plans sparked huge debate.

And along with details of the building materials and planned look there’s also an archaeological report looking at the history of the prom.

If you’d like more information about the proposals or would like to have your say on the plans, you can visit the government’s website gov.im by clicking here
