Head of AI sought for Digital Isle of Man team

Successful candidate will get £100,000 a year

If you're an expert in artificial intelligence then the Digital Isle of Man team within the Department for Enterprise would like to hear from you.

They're looking for an experienced head of AI for a limited three-year term and the successful applicant can expect a salary of £100,000 per annum.

The job offers a flexi-time model where additional time worked can be taken as leave.

There's also discounted access to the NSC gym and Island swimming pools along with one-to-one support programmes and exercise classes with qualified instructors.

In return the successful candidate will take a lead role to develop AI policy and strategy to fulfil Digital Isle of Man's purpose and objectives based on a deep understanding of AI and its risks and opportunities, while considering the ethical considerations of AI development and employment.

If you're applying from off-Island there's no relocation package on offer.

The job advert has prompted criticism from some MHKs with Tim Glover saying it's another example of why he voted against the Island Plan.
