Max Kelly and Adrian Shorthouse

Max Kelly and Adrian Shorthouse will be responsible for five of the Island's primary schools

Two of the Island's primary school headteachers will be taking on leadership roles at additional schools from January.

The current headteachers at Willaston and Scoill Yn Jubilee will be retiring at the end of the year.

As a result, Max Kelly, who is currently in charge at Laxey and Dhoon Schools, will add Willaston to his role, while Adrian Shorthouse of Kewaigue will also become headteacher at Scoill Yn Jubilee.

Education Minister Julie Edge has thanked retiring heads Rose Burton and Jayne Adamson, and says she hopes the five schools will thrive under the two headteachers' leadership.
