Ombudsman believes there are 'open loops' in the system for follow-up action
More powers to enact recommendations following complaints made to Manx Care would be welcomed.
That's the view of the Health and Social Care Ombudsman Body which has given evidence to the Public Accounts Committee.
The board has responsibility for reviewing and making recommendations on complaints which have not been able to be resolved within the healthcare body's own resolution process.
44 complaints have been completed since July last year with 18 active cases.
But Chair David Clegg says there are some 'open loops' in the system which they'd like to see closed:
