Health foods store plans 'eco shopping area'

Self-service dispensers to cut down on plastic usage

As the drive to cut down on plastic usage worldwide continues, an Island health food store is planning an in-store eco-area to encourage plastic free shopping.

"Top Banana", the Douglas based health foods store in Saddlestone, is installing self-service gravity dispensers to allow customers to buy items in bulk.

Shop owner Jane Royle, hopes they will be available to customers by the middle of May.
