Letter destroyed after media briefing last October
Health Minister David Ashford has defended reading out an unattributed letter from one of Covid-19 testing team at a media briefing at the end of October.
It came at the end of the week when Dr Rachel Glover resigned.
Dr Glover was one of the lead scientists behind the Island's Covid-19 testing lab but criticised ministers on social media over testing policy and her job status.
A freedom of information request revealed the minister destroyed the letter following the briefing.
Speaking at a Public Accounts Committee hearing, Mr Ashford defended using the letter as staff at the lab felt demoralised:-
