Claire Christian to speak to Keys members as charity announces redundancies

The health and social care minister will make a statement in the House of Keys next week (31 March) regarding Hospice Isle of Man's funding.

It follows the news that the charity, which provides palliative and end-of-life care to hundreds of patients on the Island each year, is making redundancies and service cuts due to financial difficulties.

Hospice is now calling for additional government support and it plans to launch a campaign later this year.

Manx Care and the Department of Health and Social Care say they are committed to working in partnership with the charity to ensure stable, high quality care.

Minister Claire Christian will deliver her statement to the Chamber on Tuesday, 31 March.
