Follows investigation into fire at Douglas property in 2019
A Manx healthcare company has pleaded not guilty to three charges under the Health and Safety at Work Act.
The charges against Elder Healthcare follow an investigation into a fire in Fuchsia Lane in Douglas in late 2019.
A 96-year-old died in a blaze at a flat she privately rented.
The company faces one count of failing to fulfill its health and safety duties and two counts of failing to comply with regulations.
The death and the charges the organisation faces are not connected.
Elder Healthcare entered the plea this morning at Douglas Courthouse before Deputy High Bailiff Christopher Arrowsmith.
Proceedings were adjourned until 22 July were a committal date will be set.
