Healthcare 'is not working'

Former government advisor rejects care model

A former government healthcare advisor says he was disillusioned by the western world's 'obsession' with illness and pharmaceutical treatment.

Courtenay Heading left the Cabinet Office two years ago, having worked under the banner of 'Healthcare Innovation'.

Since then, he has been researching natural treatments with his business Jurby Wellness - and says he's 'never been fitter' since shifting his focus to using 'food as medicine'.

He will address a meeting of the Positive Action Group on Monday evening (25 June) alongside Health and Social Care Minsiter David Ashford.

Mr Heading, who completed the Parish Walk this weekend, says the traditional model is negatively impacting lives:
