Individuals not to blame, says Manx Care
There's a term which healthcare providers on the Isle of Man are keen to eliminate from the vocabulary, and that's "bed blockers."
It refers to people who are well enough to leave hospital but have nowhere to go, so they remain in the facility until they can be discharged somewhere safely.
