A 27-year-old man from Liverpool due in court today
A man's due to appear in court today (Tuesday) after more than £4,000 worth of heroin was seized by police.
The 27-year-old from Liverpool has been charged with possessing the class 'A' drug with intent to supply, as well as a charge of money laundering.
A 38-year-old local woman was also arrested for money laundering.
It follows a Pro Active operation by the police to target the importation and supply of heroin.
Detective Sergeant Paul Holland of the Pro Active Team says it's "a nasty and particularly dirty drug that we don't want on our Island".
