Higher-than-usual rainfall totals this autumn

2019 sees 35% more than average

This autumn has been wetter than normal - around 35% wetter, in fact.

Historically, October and November are the wettest months of the year with 200mm of rain on average.

This year has seen a further 70mm added to that figure.

Senior Met Officer Adrian Cowin says the Island's warmer and increasingly wet autumn season is fulfilling scientists' predictions:
