The facility has been out of action since December but can only carry out emergency dental procedures
Hillside Dental Practice is currently only able to deliver emergency dental services until further notice.
As part of preparations for Manx Care to take over the practice, implementation of new IT systems was required, as the software in place prior was specific to the previous owners.
However, the new software provider was subject to a ‘serious cyber-attack’, which remains unresolved for more than a month.
Temporary measures are hoped to be in place within the next week, at which point Hillside will be able to make contact with patients.
Those requiring emergency dental services are told to make contact on 642 389 for an appointment, and attend the Community Dental Service at the Central Community Health Centre on Westmoreland Road in Douglas.
The health body has apologised but stresses the importance of data protection.
