More than 30 years of research presented to Manx National Heritage
A local shipwreck researcher says handing over a comprehensive ‘maritime historic environment record’ will be beneficial to the Isle of Man in years to come.
Adrian Corkhill has been researching sunken, and damaged, vessels for more than 30 years.
He’s now handed over his database – of nearly 2,000 shipwreck locations around the Island – to Manx National Heritage.
Adrian told Manx Radio the information goes further than just being a historical record:
Meningitis B vaccination scheme to be rolled out on-Island
Balthane Roundabout plans on hold until 2027/28 as costs rise
Port St Mary lifeboat launched to rescue stricken fishing vessel
Enquiries ongoing after 'shotgun-like sound' heard near Police Headquarters
