The health sector is seeking an additional £10million
The Health and Social Care minister says more money is needed for Manx Care in the next Budget.
Lawrie Hooper told Manx Radio, it was not acceptable for him to go back and request more funds from Tynwald each year.
Earlier this week, the health sector said it would be seeking an additional £10 million.
The minister will request the funding next month.
He says the extra money will pay for rising drug costs as a result of Covid-19, Brexit and staffing issues, among others:
Meningitis B vaccination scheme to be rolled out on-Island
Balthane Roundabout plans on hold until 2027/28 as costs rise
Port St Mary lifeboat launched to rescue stricken fishing vessel
Enquiries ongoing after 'shotgun-like sound' heard near Police Headquarters
