Facility closed for refurbishment in 2019
It's hoped the private patients unit at Noble's Hospital will be able to reopen in the next 12 months.
The facility closed for an upgrade in January 2019 and was originally expected to reopen the following year, but that was pushed back due the ward being repurposed during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Manx Care confirmed in July last year that it was keen to explore options for the future of the unit.
Health Minister Lawrie Hooper is confident the facility will be able to make a profit:
CoMin making 'significant and determined efforts' to implement recommendations from Ranson review
Rain events 'difficult to forecast' on the Isle of Man
Planning permission granted for 26 industrial units
Port St Mary Commissioners urging residents not to 'struggle in silence'
