National Theatre Connections seeking newcomers for this year's play
It's hoped a theatre programme that could see Manx teenagers perform at the National Theatre in London will be a chance for new talent to grow.
Audition workshops get underway at Kensington Arts this evening for National Theatre Connections for aspiring performers aged 13 to 19.
Groups from throughout the British Isles will compete for the chance to perform in London next year.
Director David Dawson says it's also about nurturing newcomers:
The first workshop takes place at Kensington Arts between 5pm and 7pm today, with a second being held at the same time on Tuesday.
Rehearsals will take place over the winter before a performance on Island in February, ahead of a second performance in Blackpool to determine which group goes on to the National Theatre.
