Competition gets underway in Peel this morning
The Island Horse Ploughing Championships get underway this morning.
Some of the Island's best ploughmen and women will be in competition working with heavy horses in the traditional way. There are also classes for tractors.
The event, on Ballagyr Lane outside Peel gets underway at 10.30 and runs until 3.15pm.
Refreshments will be available in the marquee, where you can buy tea, coffee, bacon baps and the best cakes in the west, with all proceeds going to charity.
A prize presentation will take place next Wednesday at the Tynwald Inn, St Johns.
