Historic service fights another day
The Douglas horse trams trot into a new era today.
The service begins its summer season, operated for the first time by Isle of Man Railways.
The infrastructure department stepped in after a public outcry when Douglas Council announced its ratepayers could no longer fund the trams.
No decision's been made by the department to run the trams beyond this year.
The first horse tram will depart Derby Castle with the MHK responsible for public transport Kate Beecroft on board.
