Shoppers urged to remember
Shoppers in Douglas will be invited to Pause for a Moment on the high street this evening (Thursday) to remember lost loved ones and others suffering serious illness.
The hospice event is in place of the Light Up a Life ceremonies which have traditionally been held in towns and villages around the Island in the run-up to Christmas.
At 7pm during late-night opening, Mayor of Douglas Sara Hackman will invite shoppers to gather round the tree in Regent Street and pause to remember loved ones. A poem will also be read.
