Hospice post 'won't detract' from services

Looking for People and Organisational Development boss

A new senior post at Isle of Man Hospice is a key part of its new strategy - but won't eat-up money donated by the Manx public.

That reassurance from chief executive Anne Mills, who's advertising for a Head of People and Organisational Development.

The remit combines responsibility for human resources and a programme of change.

Hospice is one of the largest and wealthiest charities in the Island, with 180 staff on its books. They include a team in marketing and fund-raising.

Ms Mills says she understands concerns about the running costs of charities, but is assuring donors the post is vital, and will see the hospice into the future:
