A Douglas hotel has sustained major damage, as bad weather bears down on the Island this evening.

Pictures show a section of the Palace Hotel's roof has become dislodged, crashing into the rear car park and apparently damaging some parked cars.
The adjacent Palace Cinema has also closed for the evening - customers who had purchased tickets are being contacted.
Police have been made aware of the incident.
