Isle of Man residents will head to the polls in September
We are now just eight months away from the 2026 General Election.
Already a few candidates have made themselves known, but what are some of the big issues for the community here on the Isle of Man?
Well, for some of our elderly residents it's healthcare, utility costs and government spending.

So, what about the younger voters on the Island?
Well, according to these first-time voters from Ballakermeen High School, housing is a big concern, similarly government spending too.
"The government is losing money at a rapid rate due to overspending. People are dipping into the pension pot like it's a personal piggy bank and it's not fair on the future generations."
