John Le Fondré replaces Ian Gorst
The Chief Minister says he's looking forward to meeting his new counterpart in Jersey shortly.
Senator John Le Fondré took up the top job on the Channel Island earlier this week after securing 30 votes in favour from States members.
He's replaced Senator Ian Gorst who was looking for a third term in office.
Senator Gorst is now set to become External Relations Minister.
Howard Quayle says maintaining a good relationship with the Jersey is important - and the pair will meet shortly.
