OFT offers advice
Owners of HP Notebook computers are being advised to check the batteries, as some may be subject to an expanded safety notice.
The Office of Fair Trading has issued a warning to the public about a battery replacement program which was expanded in January - including various models of the ProBook, ZBook, HP x360, Pavilion, Envy and HP 11.
The OFT says unless you have already received a replacement battery under the existing recall programme, it is essential to check the battery if you own one of the above models.
If your notebook battery is affected, you're advised to cease using it immediately - HP will provide a replacement battery at no cost.
