Annual ceremony at Hospice IOM brings locals together
Hundreds of people joined in a special ceremony at Hospice Isle of Man last night, to remember lost family and friends.
The annual ‘Light Up A Life’ service included music from the Douglas Town Band and the Hospice Choir, with the Christmas tree in the Memorial Garden at the hospital being lit during the night.
There, people had the chance to light a candle in honour of their loved ones.
Howard Callow lost his wife Mary earlier this year.
He shared his story during the event and told of how important the hospice had been to him:
Lessons learned after snow day confusion
More than 100 firearms surrendered
