Former Minister feels let down by CM
Former health minister Kate Beecroft says she was 'set up fail' during her time at the helm.
The South Douglas MHK was commenting on a report into overspending at Noble's Hospital by the Public Accounts Committee, approved by Tynwald members yesterday (20 Mar).
Mrs Beecroft, who was forced to resign in January, said she felt let down by the Chief Minister.
Members supported a series of the committee recommendations, which will now form parts of Treasury's ongoing review of healthcare funding.
However, a recommendation to stop the hospital taking on any new services in the short term was rejected.
Ms Beecroft offered her successor David Ashford 'good wishes' in attempting to bring DHSC costs under control.
