CoMin body's pledge to Guinea-Bissau
The Council of Ministers' International Development Committee has donated almost £280,000 to a project which is helping residents in one of the world's poorest countries.
The lives of thousands of people in Guinea-Bissau have been transformed thanks to a partnership between the IDC and UK-based charity Sightsavers.
The IDC's money has funded surgeries, medical supplies, improved sanitation and a programme of community education to tackle blinding trachoma.
Help from the Isle of Man has also led to the refurbishment of 77 water pumps and the construction of 400 latrines.
