Milntown acquires 17th century piece
A chair belonging to William Christian - or Illiam Dhone, as he's better known - has been returned to his family's former home.
The Christians owned the Milntown estate for hundreds of years, before bankruptcy forced them to sell the property and its contents in the 1880s.
Chair of the board of trustees of Milntown, Charles Guard, spoke about the piece of furniture on Manx Radio's Women Today programme this afternoon:
'Little data available' on number of employees earning the minimum wage on the IOM
Jurby Commissioners 'getting nowhere' with DOI fixing parish's pavements
Motorists urged to respect 20mph limit in or around school zones
