Impact of attending mental health incidents 'forcing officers to quit police'

Chief Constable discusses effect of policing suicide and mental health

A significant number of police officers have left the service because they can't deal with attending incidents caused by mental health issues.

That's from Chief Constable Gary Roberts, who's been giving evidence to a Tynwald committee in one of his final public engagements before he retires.

He and Chief Constable Designate Russell Foster discussed the impact attending suicide and mental health-related incidents has on officers.
