Improve communication to ease reforms says union

 

The union which represents more than 1500 civil servants in the Island is urging the chief minister to keep staff fully informed over plans to scale-down government.

 

Allan Bell this week announced what he calls a radical first step in shrinking and streamlining government - in line with reduced income.

 

Members of Prospect inside government will have to wait for news on how many jobs will be lost, and where.

 

Mr Bell says he wants to lose posts through natural wastage but hasn't ruled out compulsory redundancies.
