Treasury issues warning to Manx public
The Income Tax Division of Treasury has issued a warning about an email scam promising tax refunds and reclaiming overpaid tax.
The hoax email suggest a refund is awaiting reclaim and asks for financial details.
The email is being sent from nationalinsurance.ITD@GOV.IM but Treasury says it is not from any Manx Government source.
Treasury has confirmed they never contact members of the public by email with details of rebates or ask people to give personal or payment information.
And don't open any attachment on the hoax email as it may download a virus.
