Russ Foster takes over on IoM in March
The person who'll be taking over as Chief Constable on the Isle of Man in March has been awarded the King's Police Medal.
Russ Foster has been praised for his work in West Yorkshire, where as Deputy Chief Constable he drove improvements in the Force's performance.
West Yorkshire Police says these changes led to the Force being graded as 'Outstanding' by His Majesty’s Inspectorate of Constabulary and Fire & Rescue Services (HMICFRS).
Russ Foster takes over as Manx Chief Constable in March 2023.
Russ' predecessor Gary Roberts was awarded the Queen's Police Medal in 2020.
Four Manx residents have been named in the 2023 New Year Honours.
