Inflation figures need context says MHK

The Isle of Man's latest inflation figures should be looked at in context.

That's from Policy and Reform Minister Chris Thomas.

It's after the rise to 3.5% last month, measured by the Consumer Prices Index - from 2.4% in September.

It comes as the UK's rate of inflation remained at 2.4% for the month, according to the Office for National Statistics.

Mr Thomas says these numbers really need to be looked at in the round.
