It happened just after 6pm
A multiagency operation took place yesterday to assist with the extrication of a injured crew member from a sailing vessel in Douglas.
Just after 6pm a major appliance and turntable ladder from Isle of Man Fire and Rescue attended Battery Pier to assist with the extrication.
Working closely with the Douglas Coastguard and Isle Of Man Ambulance Service, the crew member was assisted from the vessel with the turntable ladder used to lift them ashore to avoid worsening a back condition.
