Inquest into biker's death opened

Foxdale man suffered multiple trauma

An inquest has heard how a motorcyclist from Foxdale died from multiple injuries sustained in a collision over TT fortnight.

Coroner of Inquests John Needham heard this morning how Kevin Baker, of Mines Road, was pronounced dead at Noble's Hospital hours after the crash on Sunday, 4 June.

The 69-year old former police officer had suffered serious trauma when his motorbike hit a car which was leaving a property at Barregarrow.

He was originally from Middlesbrough.

Mr Needham passed on sincere condolences to Mr Baker's family, who were present - and adjourned the inquest to a date to be fixed.
